Phil Wood Garden Design is dedicated to designing and building unique residential gardens in the greater Seattle and Eastside area.
Our award winning design, innovative plant selection and careful construction will give you an expressive, livable landscape that will add immeasurable value and delight to your home.
STRONG DESIGN, good bones as the English call it, provides the underpinnings of the garden. Our designs are functional and
contemporary, yet influenced by the gardens of other times and other places. Designs are developed through careful consultation with our clients. We have created designed gardens at the Northwest Flower and Garden Show for over ten years, winning numerous awards, including several Gold Medals.
SO MANY PLANTS, SO LITTLE TIME! Plants are chosen with regard to the marvelous Puget Sound climate, which rivals any in the world for horticultural diversity. We select trees to add height, shade and screening, shrubs to provide color and fragrance year round, and perennials to return as familiar friends every year.
CAREFUL CONSTRUCTION brings the garden to life. Our company excels in all aspects of garden construction: terraces, arbors, pools and pathways, as well as careful soil preparation that will provide optimum growing conditions for your plants.

Phil Wood, owner, is a designer and plant enthusiast who has been active in the northwest horticultural community for many years. He has previously served on the board of the Arboretum Foundation. Phil earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Washington.
